These Crochet Wedges Are My Summer Uniform
I bought these on a whim and now I wear them constantly.
The Look
Cream crochet upper — actual thread-by-thread woven, not some printed texture. Tan leather ankle strap with a simple brown buckle. Jute wedge gives you about 2 inches of lift, but the closed toe with that neat cap detail keeps them from feeling too beachy.
Why I Keep Reaching for Them
They breathe. The open weave means air actually moves through. Wore them through a 90-degree afternoon and my feet were still happy.
They pack flat. Tossed them in my carry-on, took up zero space, didn't crease.
The footbed is cushioned — not that hard cardboard feeling you get with cheaper espadrilles. Stood through a full dinner and drinks, no problem.
Three Ways I've Worn Them
→ White linen pants, gold hoops, easy
→ Midi slip skirt and a fitted tank
→ Denim cutoffs, oversized button-down, farmers market ready
The Bottom Line
These don't feel like a "summer shoe" you rotate in twice. They feel like the one you grab without thinking. The handwoven texture does the work — looks intentional even when you threw your outfit together in three minutes.
